New to the site, few questions

Hi I am very new to this site. I just loaded my first pics yesterday! I have a few questions.... First off I came from DPChallenge.com. On that site you pay $25 a year or $5 a month to display your pictures and enter challenges. Here it seems free, is that true? Also on DPC they have maybe 3-4 challenges every week, how do the challenges work here? I can't even find what challenge is going on now. Do they just have a challenge once a month, is there any winnings or is it just the satisfaction of winning? On DPC it is just the satisfaction of winning but to be on top for once would be lovely, :). Also how do I find my display of pictures? Everytime I want to see my pictures I have to type in my username into a search, is there an easier way. And also with the comments, does that happen often, I guess it doesn't happen much on DPC when your new either so I guess within time it will happen more. This is just a whole new world to me in a way, I need to figure out how everything works. One more question, how do these downloads work, I guess it would be easier to just go and by photoshop, IDK. Well anyways Im very happy to be part of this site, I hope to learn alot and make new friends.

Hi, I am also new to this site and I think I have the weekly photo contest figured out, but in the monthly challenge thread, the most recent challenge seems to be from November. Is that correct? Where are December and January... or better yet... what is the January theme?
