A Nice Surprise
It seems an image of mine has won Theme of the Month over at another photo site.
I'm tickled to death. I couldn't think of an entry for the letter "S" then I was down at the skate park (where I've shot before) and I suddenly saw it! I managed to shoot and get my picture entered the next the last day before the contest closed.
I think I get a prize
Sheila.

Thanks, guys. Nice to see you again varun - I'll be posting to your acrobatic bees soon

This is the link to the home page of Digital Image Cafe - scroll down and on the right you'll see a list of monthly winners - I'll be under theme and just click on my name and that should do it.

Sheila,
What a wonderfully composed and exposed image. I love the way the s-curve fluidly moves one through the shot. Very nice and congrats again.

Got my prize news today. I'm getting a copy of Paintshop Pro X.
I've never used that program so it's something new to play with
Here at byte I've won ADC twice and it's not compatible with mac so I've passed it on and people tell me it's very good.
Thanks again for all of the congrats

Paint Shop Pro is a very good program Sheila. I do all my image editing/digital art/web designing with that. I guess the only problem with it is that it doesn't save as JPEG properly... but then again I have an old version

'S' is for Sheila and what a splendid, soothing, sensuous, scintillating, snakey, special shot that is. i echo the remark about loving the descent in black nothingness - i'm so impressed how you can take something ordinary and turn it into an artform - clever you for your well deserved win.

Good for You!
Congratulations, Sheila! We can love our own photos all we want, but we'd have to be honest and admit that it's special when others love them, too.
