hard time navigating this site

I am new to this site and to my Olympus c750 : learning the menus that came with my camera are one thing. . .
Posting on this site poses another challenge! Maybe I haven't read the instructions from the right place, or whatever.
All I know is that it seems to be a place of encouragement, learning, and sharing in a compassionate space for us who are new to the site and digital cameras. . . I appreciate this more than I can say. The majority of the photos appear to be of such quality and expertise that I am almost feeling overwhelmed. . .
On the other hand, what are we here for other than to share and help each other . . . Thank you all for allowing me this "LEARNING" experience. They say, find your passion and you find your life . . .
guess what? There aren't enough hours in the day to follow what has squeezed my heart to the degree it has: photography!

Hi ceebee, and welcome to BytePhoto.

I'm sure you will soon find your way around the menus, both camera and site.

To know if someone has replied to your post, there are a couple of settings you can activate (if not already done).

1. You can turn on Email Notification
where emails are sent to you whenever someone replies. This is found under the message box

2. Subscribe to the forum and new posts can be seen in the User Control Panel

FYI If there are new posts to a forum when you return to the site a 'green light' light up to the left of the forum title.
In the threads a small arrow is seen, to the left of the title, if you have an unread post.
The latest posts can also be found at the bottom of the home page under 'Active in the Digital Photography Forums'
