Happy Memorial Day ???
Happy Memorial Day? I notice posters wishing each other Happy Memorial Day - has this day really become all about bbq's and beer and getting a day off? Is it about having a 'happy' day? How thoughtless this day must have become to some.
Memorial Day is observed so that we might remember and honor the men and woman who have lost their lives in the service of their country.
For those who have a lost a son or a daughter, a father, a child, a mother, any family member every day is Memorial Day. It's not a "Happy Memorial Day" for them.
Perhaps we can honor the fallen by finding out the name of one of them, finding something out about that person and thinking of them on this day - remembering them.

I agree with Paul, very thoughtful Sheila.
Thanks for the link Al, I hadn't heard Adam's story. Very touching and sad. Always sad to hear when any solder lost their life. Roxborough is but an hour's drive from where I am so I'm sure there must have been a story on the Local news.
