Would it be the number of posts made? Thats the way it works on some other sites I visit.

Did you pay to become a "paying" member? It's my understanding that will make you a "senior" member.

Thank you Carolyn for responding. I really enjoy the site, but I didn't even know that you could be a "paying member" I will search around the website to figure out what I need to do to pay. I do not want any "free rides" LOL
So to answer your questio, NO
Thanks JoeLast edited by JoeMc; Apr 28th, 2007 at 10:37 AM.

Joe,
My understanding is that Paying members have extra ability to store images. As for as the basic photo sharing and photo contest, no paying is required.
Re: Senior status, I received that after making a required number of comments. I thought it was 500 for me, but they may have changed the guidelines.Buddy

Thank you Buddy for responding....I guess it will just be an enigma? I see members with more post, and more time that does not show "senior member" I guess I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. I feel like a newbie, not a senior.
Thanks Joe

he joe - i also find myself upgraded - not very comfortable with it as i am very much the amateur on this site especially as im only just getting to know the complex workings of my camera and trying out different settings (hopefully learning as i go)
who'd pay to get an upgrade - strange concept

One would pay to get an upgrade if one wanted more space for images. There are some that use the byte site for all their images. Plus.... to support the site....

I Ύve not come across a pointer for donations on this site ¦. Might be an idea to make that more obvious. - is there any blurb about how this site funds itself . Its probably all here and I Ύve not yet stumbled upon it so any assistance would be appreciated.
It was paying for Ή¦higher status/rank' ie: junior to senior that I found strange.

Pippa, I can't find anything about paying either? I would think that if it helped fund the site it would be all over the place?
If you find something, let us all know.
Thanks Joe

I know you can change your title in the userCP..if you don't want to be a senior, be anything you want to be...
