    And would like to say Hi, was wondering what the ettique is here, when someone leaves a comment do you thank them in the comment box? Is it appropriate to comment other photos?

    Yes, comments can be made in the comment box and yes, people do make comments on other images. It's usually helpful to get constructive feedback.

    I'd like to suggest you read the guidelines the contest...it will save you some aggrevation down the line most likely.
