    Spiders and Bugs

I was wandering around my summer place looking for something to photograph, when I came upon this Daddy Long Leg spider. He appeared to be lurking, and waiting for some dinner. Taken with my Coolpix 5000 hand held in macro mode. I am not sure whether these are really spiders, and I don't believe that they bite. I know that I can usually pick them up and move them when they are in the way. Does anyone have any more information?

Here is another insect that I thought was a bee or wasp, but now i am not sure. I have seen swarms of black bugs in the fields that look like bees, but are not. Can anyone identify what this is?

Good shot, but I have never seen one with a long body like the one in your picture.

Good clear picture of little animals that I hate......I like the little gooey spot they leave on the floor when I step on them.

been bit to many times.....and when the US gov. paid for a years stay in a beautiful east asian climate I saw the biggest-ugliest things ever......kind of stayed with me.

    Hi Bud,
We have had a very wet summer here on the east coast, and the little varmits are abundant. If you notice the flower pictures in my gallery show lots of rain drops.
I downloaded you Ezmitre action, but I havn't had a picture worthy of those elegant frames. I tried one of your original actions the other day, and boy have I forgotten a lot.
I am so glad that I found this forum. There is nothing really wrong with DPR, but this is a little slower and more accomodating to my needs. I guess they compliment each other. Nice talking to you.

    Hi Paul,
Yes it looks like the wasp that we have here in NJ, as well. There is anpther flying insect here that looks like this but does not sting. I have seen them swarming over grassy areas. The first time it scared the H____ out of me.
I was looking for a stinger on the bottom of this one, and did not see it. In any event, I didn't get too nosey, when I took the picture.

    Hi Howard,
I agree, I have picked up many of them to move them away. They just look a little creepy.
