    My first "Lightning" shots.

OK, they're not so super but I like em, and they're my first successful attempts.

G-day Andrask. Nothing to technical mate. Just wait for for a big electrical storm. Get out on the deck in your jocks and t-shirt at about midnight. get the umbrella out and set the camera (on tripod) for 13 second exposure on F 5.6 and keep hitting the shutter button. I missed some great shots because my little sony takes as long (13 seconds) to process the photo as it does to actually take the photo so there were some huge blots that came thru and all I could do was look on.

Cant wait until I get my new Canon.

    HB.

Sounds like my technique for shooting the fireworks displays on New Year's Eve, Hellbelly.

I did use the Canon 400D and that was a bit quicker but I still missed some bits.

The Canon dSLR is certainly worth waiting for.
