Angry Save money - steal others photos!!

It was recently brought to my attention that smartmoney.com has an article telling people to steal photos from photographers as a way to save money. I just couldn’‚’‚…‚’‚…พ‚t believe it when I read this! A place with the reputation like smartmoney.com telling people to steal from honest hard working people! To commit a federal offense no less!!
The were contacted by a slew of photographers and by PPA themselves although they moved the article they will not take it down. They say they stand by their article and are keeping it online! PPA was happy that they moved the article and were calling that a victory. Well we, the little people are NOT happy and we will fight until the article is gone!
How can we do this? We will hit them where it hurts! The bank account. Paid advertisers! On Monday Dec 4th at 10 AM ET we will be calling Fidelity and flooding their phone lines with complaints of their advertising support being on this page!
Here are the phone #’‚’‚…‚’‚…พ‚s http://personal.fidelity.com/account...ing.shtml.cvsr
We can only do this with the power of ALL of us! Let them know that there are LOTS of us and we are NOT happy! Please everyone doesn’‚’‚…‚’‚…พ‚t think that someone else will call for you. Pick up the phone and make a difference. The longer we tie up their lines the louder our voice will be!
And here is a link to the article http://www.smartmoney.com/top5/index.cfm?story=20061108
    Here is the quote
’‚’‚…‚’‚ฆ…“Money-Saving Tips: Just buy the class picture. And don't even consider placing an order during the spring session, when many schools host a secondary picture day. If you just can't resist, purchase the smallest package possible. At the Clark School in Swampscott, Mass., parents can spend as little as $24 for a few wallet-size photos and one of the class. The bill rises to more than $50 if parents splurge for a package that includes a couple of 5-by-7s. Worried you won't have a spare to send to Grandma? Consider scanning your copy or email a cute digital shot you took yourself.’‚’‚…‚’‚‚

OMG Deanna, thanks for posting this.
I am in shock and a few other choice words that I wont repeat.

I know for a fact that many printing companies WONT make reprints of professional photographers prints but if someone tries to scan it and print larger, then we dont know its being done.

Even when I sell my note cards printed on 5x7 glossy cardstock paper, I sign right on the picture with my full name so if anyone tries to scan it at least my name is there.

After recently having one of my pictures stolen online and and given out to travel bureaus withour them realizing it was stole, having it published LARGE without giving me credit, you know I im support of blocking this company you mentioned

Thank you!! Every phone call gets us closer to getting that artical removed for good! I think people forget that we need to make a living and that stealing our photos is stealing our income. They are not the only ones with kids to feed.

Deanna and anyone else who checked out the link.
by chance did any of you start to receive emails from smarthmoney.com?
I just got 3 of them today and I've never had any from them in the past.

I think they are also picking up our info when we go to their website, how else would they know my ruth-at-reflectionsbyruth.com email address.
That one isnt published, just our info@ which I also got some emails from today.

Dont you just love how these websites use our personal info to bombard us with spam.

    Hi Paul
I didnt email them back because I figured that would confirm that the email does exist.

Although I have emailed other spammers back when I saw they were using the email addresses of legit comapnies. I would email the company to let them know spammers were using their company name in the email address.

should I email them to ask?
