Assignments ??

Having thought over the question about including a new Assignment feature on BytePhoto, we thought we should allow the members to have a say in the matter.

Should we have simple topic Assignment like landscapes, portraits, still life, etc ?

Or Technical & Detail Assignments on, for example, shadows, light, colors, composition, DOF, flash, macro etc ?

Or both ?

I say that it would be great if there was a mixture of basic and advanced themes... Maybe one week basic and one week advanced.... back and forth.... And for the preperation, I would say they the Assignments should be published well in advance.. maybe one or two weeks in advance....

Great idea!

I would suggest weekly or by-weekly to keep everyone interested and with enough scope so that all levels of photographer will feel like participation.

I would say bi-weekly.

I like the assignment feature idea. I have seen this work well when enough time is allowed, and 2 weeks seems like a reasonable length of time. For a basic assignment there could also be included links to tutorials and a gallery of pics as examples.
