Five of you
¦ I
Ύm not sure if I should call the banks up there and have them load extra cash in the ATM
Ύs or call the NYPD and warn them of .. an impending spending spree that may incite a riot
Best Regards,
Steve

LOL Amex got my name
just caught this, been busy.
Hi Sheila,
We all had a great time.
Most of the other group were pro portrait and wedding photographers so they headed off into those areas. My friend Sue picked up lots of backdrops for her studio portraits.
But we all bought one of those mini tripods that have the twistable legs that can wrap around polls, trees or whatever you need to brace your camera in the perfect angle
Its small probably no longer than 12 inches. I dont have the name of it at the moment because its in my car but if anyone is interested I'll get the name of the company.
I was looking for art paper so was picking up all the samples from every company out there to see which I preferred.
Some gave out small 4x6 sheets with a photo on it, but probably because I looked more interested and asked more questions, Legion papers handed me a booklet with all their papers tabbed out with the names and descriptions of each.
Its great because I can feel them all to see the smoothness or texture I like for when I buy online one I got home
look our AMEX here I come lol.
There was one company that would put your photos on throw covers/afghans. There were really nice, not an ironed on print but were woven with the colors. I'd love to have one done for one of my scenes.
For resale they were quite expensive because you would have to buy like 500 throws to get the price down to $39.95 so you could at least resell it at a price someone would buy.
The price was $195 for 1
I'll go through more of the paperwork I picked up and see what other tidbits I can find
Sheila, you'll have to let us know about the PhotoExpo you mentioned you would be attending in your area soon.Pbase.com/ReflectionsbyRuth

Ruth, sounds as though you had a grand time - I'm very nterested in the tripod so please do tell more when you get a chance.
I'm attending an all day Adobe Photoshop Seminar in Portland this coming Monday. It's not an expo, although I don't doubt there will be someone selling something. Ben Willmore is teaching this seminar.
I'll let you know how it goes.
Sheila.

Thanks, Graham. I'll check it out.
And how the heck are you anyway?
Are you enjoying a nice down under Spring?
It's raining and storming at my house this morning.
Cheers
Sheila

thanks Grahman,
Thats what it looks like
I didnt remember it being called gorilla pod though, but ya never know.
wonder if there is more than one company that makes them.
I bought the one for my D70 and thought I paid $39.95
Then when he handed me the bag i noticed I had the smaller tripod for the point and shoot inside the bag as well.
I asked why and he said, oh for $10 more you get the second one.
So I ended up paying $49.95 when I really only wanted the 1 tripod.
Was a bit annoyed but it would have wasted more time for him to take it off my credit card than I wanted to waste and I'm sure he did that to more than me as a couple of the others in our group ended up with both too.
I wonder if I can make it sit on my car window
Havent tried it yet for any shotsPbase.com/ReflectionsbyRuth
