I am looking for a digital camera where I can control the frame rate. For example, if the camera can gather images at 25 Hz. Then I want any frame rate slower than 25 Hz. such as 23.57 Hz. I will use a PC to trigger the camera. THe time between images would be constant during a photo session. I would like something like firewire or fast USB to dump the data to a PC in near real time. I could accept either video or still camera systems as long as I could make a video from the PC data. Is there an affordable camera (< $2K) that can do this?
