    WELCOME TO BYTE!

First, be patient. I had the same issue. Not many look at the gallery compared to shots in the contest, however, having shots in the contest will drive folks to looking at your gallery. Make sure you post two shots to the contest each week. It takes a little time. Keep posting to the contest.

Second, take the time to give lots of comments with constructive opinion on others shots (especially in the contest) - folks tend to comment on yours after they have received a comment.

third, if you have a comment on your shot, that brings your shot to the front page. Let it "float" until it leaves the front page - then acknowledge the comment and reply - this will drive the shot back to the front page - causing more views. DONT OVERDO THIS IDEA as it will drive folks crazy.

Last, and this isn't a comment on your ability - so don't take offense - find creative things to shoot. A great example is "Autumnsky"'s work. OR become known for a subject or style - for example I expect "Shaggydo" to submit a barn or waterfall. Knowing his works, I can comment on his style relative to past works.
