Buying a camera for cheaper prices?

Hi to all, and thanks for reading this post. I want to buy a new digital camera, and i've looked into the new sony dsc t9 . I love how it's compact, and i've read some good reviews on it (only bad thing they say is that the lens on it sucks). I was on cnet to check prices, and there are places where i can purchase it for about 100 bucks less. Are sites like these okay to purchase from?

I found these to be the cheapest prices. However, i haven't seen a t9 model sold in black. Are these refurbished, or are they inferior in any way? How do they sell for so cheap? Appreciate your time.

I can only recommend that you check out these vendors carefully. There are too many horror stories about 'bait and switch' scams along with calls to increase your order.

I've had dealings with B&H, Uniquephoto.com and ephotocraft.com without any problems.

I'll add www.adorama.com to the list of problem free dealers. They're slow to ship, but that's my only complaint.

I have bought at least three times from both of these companies.

if the lens sucks, don't buy it. It's the most important part of the camera.

I have had good luck with buydig.

I'll join northbeach's choir-- if the lens sucks, don't buy it. It *is* the most important part of the camera. None of the other bells & whistles will matter.

Give other comparably priced or equipped models a look.
