    I'm really surprised and disappointed about how few people welcome newcomers in here. If a new person posts and says they are the thead will get plenty of hits. Only a handful bother to say hello.

    Pretty sad.

    Well as long as I get help from someone here (as well as me helping them If I can) I'm not too bothered about the formalities. Doesn't count for much or make any difference unless you meet face to face. doesn't bother me none as long as everyone's polite.

    I don't regard saying hello as a formality, more of a friendly gesture. If someone posts specifically saying they're new I imagine they're expecting a response. That's all.
