    Digital art

    Hi, everyone.
There would appear to be a great interest in Digital art on the POTW contests at present and some confusion as to whether the images fit into the rules and guidelines.

Would it be possible to create another POTW contest for Digital art, quite separate. but with the same format.

I do a lot of this kind of thing, but I don't post it on the normal POTW because of the image not fitting into the rules as I read them.
Would be interested in what people think.
    Cheers, Mary

Mary, you're right, there are an increasing number of posts that don't fit the guidelines. I guess the powers that be just leave them unless they look like getting into the final six.

I've long thought it would be nice to have categories - digital art, landscape, macro, etc.,

I'd suggest you contact admin. of the site.

    Wonderful photograph this week.

    Sheila

I'm with Mary and Shelia on this one. I'd love to see the contests broken up into categories. I think that way you can compare two similar shots. I think it's hard to compare a landscape and a portrait in the same contest. That's just my opinion I guess.

I too would like to see categories, if not weekly "Themes." As I've pointed out before, this site seems to favor landscapes and animals (the best ones are exceptional quality), two things I'm not particularly interested in.

Broad yet seperate categories might make it easier to vote. One winner from each category could then be entered into the Finals.
