Do Nikkor lenses work on all Digital SLR's like Fujifilm/Canon etc.

I have a Nikon FA and FM2 hence a set of Nikkor lenses. I'm a rokkie to Digital SLR's. I need a Digital SLR which has:

1. Compatible with Nikkor lenses.
2. Price between $600-$800.

I dont have a Nikon hangup so any brand would do conditionally that it supports my lenses and is a decent SLR and has good manual functions. Please advice.

I know Olympus E-Series digital SLR cameras can, using an adapter that can be found at Cameraquest
Only the Nikkor G series lenses don't work.
Also Canon EOS cameras have an adapter too, but seems limited to (in your price range) EOS 350XT and 300D.

Novoflex also produce an adapter but is said to be of poorer quality.
