Photo Contest - Picture Your Photo in UsWeekly Magazine
Hey everybody...
I'm posting this to let everyone know about a photo contest that's running through the end of the year. My company designed and built the website for the contest (full disclosure ;-) and I thought some of you might be interested in entering a photo. Winning photos will be published in an advertisement in an upcoming UsWeekly magazine. If you don't want to submit a photo, you can vote on some of the other photos and win a digital camera.

Good luck!

From the contest rules:
"By participating, entrants agree to irrevocably assign and transfer all rights, titles and interest in and to the entry including but not limited to, copyrights to the Sponsor."
Anybody who enters has to transfer right to their creation; Lindemans owns it whether you win or not.
AND even better for the person who wins 1st prize, the multi-million dollar company, Lindemans, gets exclusive ownership of the winning entry to use in their ads. (no money prize)/
Well I'll give you this... you've got a lot of nerve.

I see you have to even pay to have the winning list sent to you. Thats 2 stamps at .37 cents

Winner's consent to the use of their name and/or photograph for promotional purposes, including online announcements, without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. Entrants agree that their entry (photo) will be owned by the Sponsor and its designees shall have the right to publish, use, adapt, edit and/or modify such entry in any way including in commerce and in any and all media worldwide, including but not limited to the Internet, without limitation and without compensation to the entrant. Total ARV of all prizes is $0.
hmm all this for a prize of a .75 cent charm just for entering LMAO
The stamps alone will cost you .74 let alone the return envelope and the envelope you are sending it in,
Bad business move on the part of Lindemans
After seeing an advertisment like that from this company, I would vow never to even buy their wine

Gotta Pay Atttention
Just wanted to thank you Leo and Ruth for the heads up. Not all would have been so astute as to read the fine print - and understand it.
Thanks!

Simply Amazing
Isn't it amazing that PROJECTZER becomes a member of bytephoto in November and his very first post, is a whale of a deal for all the top notch amateur/professional photographers worldwide here at bytephoto. Isn't it amazing that PROJECTZER has not posted any photographs.
I too would like to thank Leo and Ruth for bringing the heads up to our members here at bytephoto.
I don't believe advertising your business should be allowed here at bytephoto and think this should be taken care of by the administration and an announcement of this ridiculous photocontest should be posted in our friendly photocontest to forwarn our membership
I also agree in the words of Leo
'Man, you got one hell of a lotta nerve'
Sincerely
Mike WD8N
