EOS 350D VS D70s VS EOS-20D
Hello, I have a A520 camera and I am pleased with it but lately I feel it is just not good enough so I decided it is time to upgrade to a DSLR.
Based on proffesional reviews and with a some what limited budjet (the EOS-1DS Mark II is way too high) these three cameras seem to lead the category:
www.viewscore.com/category_page.php?categoryID=3&s=1&atr_1=1*-*DSLR&price=1500&pt_limit=10
I have read most of the proffesional reviews about these cameras
Canon Digital Rebel XT / EOS-350D (16 reviews) :
www.viewscore.com/vsPP/3/1739
Nikon D70s (10 reviews) :
www.viewscore.com/vsPP/3/1765
Canon EOS-20D (24 reviews) :
www.viewscore.com/vsPP/3/1651
and I am still undecided. I know I wont buy any of these cameras before I get a feeling of each of them and see which one feels more "right" in my hands.
What do you think? does any of you use any of these cameras? any other suggestions maybe?
Thanks.

Canon 20D
IamIcan,
I can't speak for the models other than the Canon 20D, but I have had my 20D since 3/2005 and I really enjoy using it. Of course I've barely scratched the surface of what this camera can do, but sure do like the features and the ease of getting to those feature. Canon designers really took these features seriously when they designed the camera. The biggest drawback is the fact that the kit lens that comes with the camera is not of the highest quality and that's why I purchased the camera without it and opted for the Canon straight 100mm F2.8 macro USM. I have also purchased the Canon 17-40mm F4 L USM and I'm happy with both lenses. I did finally purchase the kit lens as an intermediate, since it goes from 18mm to 85mm and it's good in a pinch too.
Here's an example of what I've shot with the Canon 20D from my gallery on BytePhoto.

I hope this information helps you with your choice and good luck.

I've used both the XT and 20D and they're both great cameras. Can't really go wrong with either one.

D70s
In defence of the D70s, I would like to say I am very happy with the quality of the images I am getting. I use to have a G2 and I needed to colour correct the images all the time. With my D70s I find the colour very natural. I was also concerned about the 6mb vs the 8mb issue. I don't find that to be an issue because I frequently print 8x12 and the images look perfect. I even crop the images by 20% and printed 8x12 and they still look fine. I cannot really complain about the quality of the shots I get. The weakest link in the chain is probably me. If you would like to take a look at images taken from my D70s go to the following link: www3.telus.net/public/jungclan/photogallery/index.htm
