    Talking Electronic Film

Hey! I think may have read about the so called silicon film developments. Sad to know the company closed down year 2001 because of numerous problems. I certainly would like to think some new or the same company continues the work. It's interesting if an e-film really can be inserted in conventional 35 mm film cameras and enable them to capture digital images as well. Look at the possibilities of using the high quality optics these old system have! Interesting.....

That *WOULD* be cool! You've got to figure that they should come out with something like that any day now, they're always building devices to bridge old and new technologies.

I have a device that will allow me to play CD's in old car stereos and the like, just insert a false audio tape into it and plug the other end into a discman.

I've also seen this cool .mp3 player that is in the shape of an audio tape so that you can just put it into any regular tape player and play.

Something like digital film would be pretty nifty too along the same lines. People could take digital photos without buying the whole digital camera!

That's why I became excited in it too. Imagining being ble to use all that film optical systems to capture digital images. Marvelous. Only thing is that the company who thought of it and was trying to come up with it got bankrupt and closed down last 2001 they say. I wish another company will pick up where the project was crapped and continue with it. Who knows, maybe they succeed this time and they will really churn out cash. Just think of every camera in the world using film and now made capable to capture digital image just by purchasing some attachments. Sure they may not come in cheap but I'm sure people will pick up the idea...

I'm actually working on developing the same thing, but mine will actually come out someday. it works a little bit differently, but in the end the concept is the same. i think this could revolutionize the photography industry. the only drawbacks is that it could possibly be detrimental to the actual film companies. just like making a vehicle that wouldn't use gas or oil would be detrimental to the oil companies. but i WILL come out with this one sometime. let me know what you think.
