Seal of Approval?

I bought a new camera, still not sure what everything does but this is one of my first attempts.

It looks like my subject has its own opinion on my ability.

Your thoughts on this would be welcome.

Actually the shot, composition, focus....everything looks good except for the exposure......to me it looks a bit overexposed/washed out.....,might be able to fix it in PS with curves and then some dodge and burn.

Thought the same thing to be honest, but being a total novice I have to keep running back to my computer to read the PDF file and then try and remember this stuff... I really should print some of it out and take a bit more time. Thanks for the feedback its welcomed
