Oh, gotta have more than one fave.

Minor White, I love just this pic

Man Ray, his solarized nudes and lillies do it for me.

I also like the French photographers from 1900-1940 such as Brassai, but not HCB however and I can't pinpoint why. I think it's because I find a lot of his work sterile as I do Ansel Adams although they're technically spot on.

    I hope I haven't started a riot lol.

I agree you have to have one for each style of photography

    portraits > Yousef Karsh

    Landscapes > Ansel Adams

    Movie Photography > John Seale

Favorite photographer? It is so hard to pick between so many great artist over the years. You can have so many in different avenues of the art.

    Landscape- Galen, Ansel
    Spiritual- T. Fox
    Digtal art- J Battaglia
    etc.

Like I say I like so many photographers it would be hard to pick favorites.

    WALTER IOOSS for sure

Walter Iooss is a wonderful photographer. What would we do without his work for SI ??????? I am a long time baseball card collector, and his sets are some of the BEST.... And what he does with those women for the Swimsuit issues of SI is just amazing.... For you all that do NOT know Walter, please visit his site at

Wow, some great photographers listed here. Of course it's difficult to choose one favourite, as they all have their own styles and ways to create emotions in us.
    Kind Regards.
