Posting BytePhoto pix to other forums
One reason I signed up here was so I could embed images in messages at DPReview. I had done that with DBase gallery pictures by just adding ".jpg" to the URL where the image resided. When I tried that with a picture I have in a gallery here, it didn't work. Anyone know why I can't seem to do that?

Hi,
When using our gallery you don't add the .jpg just remove the question mark and numbers, as seen in the example below.
Right click on the image you would like to post and copy the URL
http://www.bytephoto.com/photopost/data/503/2651Powell_Barn_Sunset-med.jpg?326
Paste the URL in your forum message and remove the tags at the end, in this case ?326Kind Regards.

Still Having Trouble
Thanks RVB. I still haven't been able to embed a photo in DPReview using this service. I'll keep trying.

Anyone else have issues embedding photos in forums??.Kind Regards.

continuing to try to embed
I've tried right clicking on the photo in my gallery here, copying the url, and pasting it into a post on DPReview. All I get is the URL to show. I've tried this two ways: leaving the numbers after "JPG," and removing the numbers, leaving the last thing in the address "JPG." Neither results in the photo showing in the post.

Got it!
I wasn't backing up quite far enough, so I was leaving the "?" in the URL. Once I deleted that along with the number at the end, the picture embedded just fine. Sorry for the trouble. If I had followed your instructions to the word, I would have had it the first time. Geez, and I'm a teacher.
