driver disc

Hi..
Anyone know if you have to use the software disc that normally comes with the camera when you but it.

I have lost this and wondered if its possible to be able to use some type of generic driver etc.

Its for a card, credit size type camera.

Andrew in many cases you can get the needed software via the manufactures web site

If you can provide the make and model of camera it would help in giving you a more definitive answer

Andrew if you are running windows XP try connecting your camera via USB to your PC.. There is a chance that it will be recognized and a generic driver is already available to you

Alternatively on you could purchase card reader and simply download your images directly to your PC via the card reader

I tried device manager but it just shows as a USB camera device.
Theres a yellow ? mark and it says code 1 etc.
