A photo a day for a year
Since the end of February I have been trying to take a decent photo every day. My aim is to do this for a year as a challenge for my photography. There are many others doing this on PBase where my galleries are hosted. To see how I've done so far click here:

It becomes very difficult some days but ultimately it's helping to make me learn and it's very enjoyable.
Here's yeaterday's entry:
I desaturated the whole photo in PS apart from the red parts of this pen.

Just thought I'd share. Anyone else doing anything like this?

Geoff, that is a real nice look.....and a great idea on the photo a day.....I'll take you up on it. I spend so much time with my head in the clouds, I forget to remember my first love..photography.
Very nice job on the selective color, and it works very well with this pic.

Great shot Geoff,
I would like to do the "photo a day" but i know that probably there will be days without a photo due to my busy job. The idea itself however looks great. So its worth trying.

very cool... i just started my Photo A Day gallery a few weeks before you did and I am learning something new almost every day or so...
