    Markins Ball Head

I recently purchased a ballhead for my tripod from a relative newcomer. The head is a Markins M10. I have it mounted on my Manfrotto 3443D tripod legs, and I am thrilled with it's performance. This head is manufactured in Korea, and up until this year was not readily available in the US. Now the Nikonians forum has started a Pro Shop, and they are the distributors of the Markins in Europe and the United States. I have no affiliation with this product except as a very satisfied customer.

I just thought that I would pass this along for anyone interested in a new ball head for their tripod. It is a light weight quality product. Here is a picture of my setup.

I have not used that head before, but I will try to read up on it, seems to look like a nice head.

Whats a rough cost of that head?

I have been using a ball head for a few years now and I have found them to be amazing. I do mise a three way from time to time, but over all the ball head seems to fit my needs better.

    Hi,
The Markins is a great piece of equipment. If you go to the site below, you can read all about it. The cost for the M10 is around $350 US. I have only had mine for about a week, but it is great. Good luck.

Ed, looks like a very practical setup. I'll keep this in mind as I'm considering a new tripod in the near future. I've been using an inexpensive monopod.....just so easy to carry around.

    Hi Bud,
Take a good look at the Manfrotto Carbon Fiber. It is a very solid tripod, and it is very lite. I am extemely happy with my choice.
