    Las Vegas Sept. 17 - 23

My wife, Deb, and I be vacationing in Vegas for a week. Besides the strip activity, can anyone reccommend a great photo op?

We might hit the Hoover Dam, and definately the desert. I would love capturing a rattlesnake, a scorpion and some desert birds. Everything will be based on my health status.

Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

It's a combo anniversary/last bucket item trip. I'm more into wildlife than scenery, but I have have to hit some of the scenic places. I'm just hoping that my meds keep me confortable while I am out there. My energy level has dropped significantly.

    Thanks for taking an interest.

talk about a coincidence a photographer William Hartshorn. I know over PBase just sent me a link to his latest gallery of his Las Vegas trip having no idea I was looking for some

Here are a lot of great night shots and some scenes he took.

Also check the main page where he has links to recent article and radio interview with Rangefinder

Thanks for the link. He has some very bright, colorful shots in his gallery, certainly catching the essence of Vegas. I can't help feel that my gallery is going to look just a little different.

I would recomend a short 30 min. trip out to Red Rock. A beautiful scenic oportunity there. And of course there's the Flamingos in the pool area at the Flamingo. There is also the original spring that's about 2 miles from the strip. Never been there specifically but planning on it my next trip. Personaly I prefer old school Laughlin on the river about 100 miles south.

Put 10 0n black for me, Mike

Red Rock will definately be one destination, also probably the dam. Scenery is out of my comfort zone but I will see what I can do. Should be interesting.
