    Question Just set up 2200-Help

I just set up my new 2200. I have seen alot of fabulous prints from the 2200. But so far, I'm not acheiving that. My prints are grainy and definate lines going through. Haven't printed a ton yet, but wondering if you have a basic set of settings you use. The default settings are not working for me. Maybe I have to print alot before the print rollers do not show ink lines???

It should make great prints right from the start ’‚’‚…‚’‚‚¦ ’‚’‚…‚’‚‚¦ what application are you printing from and what papers are you using?

If you upload one the photos that you are having trouble with I will print a test copy here on my 2200 if you like ’‚’‚…‚’‚‚¦

On the line issues I did have some semi gloss Epson paper once that the first few sheets had some type of flaw in them that made it appear as though their was a line running thru it ’‚’‚…‚’‚‚¦

    Thumbs up Looking Better

Wow..Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly.
I printed a few more and then also went to the Epson paper and it looks good now. Which of the Epson papers do you find makes a better look simply for basic prints.

Linda I’‚’‚…‚’‚…Ύ‚m glad that you are getting good results now

For basic prints that I want to last ’‚’‚…‚’‚‚¦I use Epson premium semi-gloss or
Epson premium luster ’‚’‚…‚’‚‚¦ if it’‚’‚…‚’‚…Ύ‚s just a snapshot to hang of the refrigerator I use Office Depot semi-gloss

As for papers that I really like they are

    Epson premium semi-gloss
    Epson premium luster
Epson enhanced matte - I only use this for B&W that I’‚’‚…‚’‚…Ύ‚m going to frame
    Epson watercolor radiant white

My personal favorite of the above is the Epson premium luster

Locally I have found the best selection of premium Epson papers at CompUSA

But have purchased most of my 2200 inks and papers online from http://www.atlex.com

I personally have had good luck with them and I like the fact that they list all of the appropriate 2200 supplies all one page which makes shopping a breeze

Here is a link to the 2200 supplies they carry http://www.atlex.com/Epson/inkjet_pr...photo_2200.htm

I also need desperately to test the samples Red-River has sent me ’‚’‚…‚’‚‚¦I will let you know how that goes ’‚’‚…‚’‚‚¦

    Thumbs up Thanks so Much

Got caught up in the Christmas frinzy. Just getting time on the forums again.
Just the info I've been researching. Now I will not have to waste so much research time. Love these forums and the wealth of knowledge here. No need to re-invent the wheel when you all have already done so.
    Thank you, Thank you
Will be ordering from your link.

    Hi Linda,

The one thing with all New ink cartridges is to hold them upright and shake them at least three or four times before you open the package to install them. Even then you might need to run the cleaning cycle at least once to charge the ink. I don,t use any other brand of printer. Enjoy that Printer.

    Thanks, I'll try this also

    Thanks So Much Bluwing,
I'll do this. Of course with Christmas and New Year travel, I'm just getting back to the printing. Will do what you suggested. Thanks commenting.
