    13 x 19 Printer

I'm a serious amateur. I was almost sold on the new Epson r800 with all the hoo-hah until I walked into CompUSA tonight and, for the first time, held a piece of 13" x 19" paper in my hands. That changed everything. I need to be able to print at that size.

    Epson r800 has new 1.5 pl droplets and 8 ink cartridges.........but it can't print bigger then 8.5" x 11".

Now I'm completely at a loss. Any recommendations for $700 or less. Many folks tout the Epson 2200 it's only six inks, 4 pl and is supposed to be very slow.

Should I just wait until the r800 technology makes itself into the next generation of the 2200?

Another question........I'm using Canon G2 which is 4 MP resolution. Can I even safely go up to 13 x 19 size with acceptable results?

    Thanks in advance.

I can tell you that I love my 2200 ’‚’‚…‚’‚‚¦. As for waiting that’‚’‚…‚’‚…Ύ‚s always a hard call ...pretty much if you can walk into a big box store and buy it there is already a new version on its way ’‚’‚…‚’‚‚¦ if you can get a decent deal on the 2200 I think that you will be pleased

and yes the 2200 is slow but I still prefer it for me

    13 x 19 printer

Here is what I did. I took a picture I liked and went to Comp usa. Put my CF mem in a ptr and tried it on 8.5x11.That is the size I wanted. That was a 3.2 mp nikon and it worked very well but I doubt it would go larger and still be good. I now have a 6.3mp and it will go to that size. Good luck.
