B&W/Color

Looking for a camera where you can take an image and bring out the color on some of the pic, and make the rest black and white. My wife's friend has one, but I am not sure what kind it is, and I cant get a hold of her. My wife wants one that can do this and I want to get it for her for her birthday next month. I know there is software that will allow you to do this, but she would rather be able to do it on her camera...Thanks...

I think there are a few out there that will do this - usually it'll be under a feature called "color accent" or "color highlight" or something like that. I know my powershot A540 will do this, so likely any Canon in that line will also. I don't think that Canon has that feature exlusively, though.

I think the best way to do this is to shoot in RAW format than adjust picture with software.

I have not tried this but it sounds really cool, reading the book that came with my Canon, I would say this should work.

Most DSLR can shoot in RAW format if not all DSR's
