    Reducing noise?

I went to my sons B. ball practice yesterday and took some sample photos. The lighting is real bad and the only way I was able to get decent pics without motion blur was to use 400 ISO
My pics have quite a lot of noise in them. Is there a way to clear it up in Elements 2?

BT - You can add Ling Nero's add ons for PSE2. The noise reduction action works great. Also lots of other good stuff to add, like Bud's frame actions, etc. Here is the link.

You can go download a free version of Neat Image or even better purchase the full version.

I will admit its a little confussing at first, but you will quickly catch on. I had the program for 6 months before I even started using it, now I would not go without it.

    Its truly that amazing.

I wanted to point out a Photoshop action set that I think is superb and is offered to the internet community for free. The action was created by David Marsit and can be found here: http://www.canonians.com/noise.htm

You might also want to visit Michael Almond site for reviews of various noise reduction software utitilites. 18 different products are reviewed with links to their web site: http://www.michaelalmond.com/Articles/noise.htm

You need to place it in the Photoshop 'Actions' file which I believe is in the 'presets' folder of the program files.
Cameras don't take naff pictures - people do!

Yes tris, you're correct, the action does need to be placed in the Preset folder and in the subdirectory Photoshop Actions

Once loaded in the folder, you would then open Photoshop and open the Action palette. Click on the small triangle button in the upper right corner of the window palette and select Load Action from the drop down menu.
