Guess the # of images before admin changes

How many pages do you think the contest will run to before Paul does something about the site? We're are at 21 today.

My guess is 53.

I remember once before commenting that this limbo felt like being on the Flying Dutchman, condemned to sail in this ghost site around for ever, never ending our voyage

I'd say since there have been no contest wins for a while, that there would be no sense in the admin moving them all to separate weeks.

I think each user should take their older posts and move them to their gallery taking them out of the contest cue.
This way they will still have all the helpful comments.

It would certainly make things easier for everyone.
Its too confusing to look through 21 pages of pictures to figure out what is new, 11 if you put it on 24 per page.

As many of you know, I have had some discussions with Paul. During these discussions, he has given me some Admin abilities to evaluate the site. I have used these privileges to try and keep spam adds off of the site, but I have not been trained on moving images, or running the contest. Further, this is outside of the scope that Paul and I agreed upon.

I regret that the contest is dormant, but that is outside of my control.

BTW, I have made a specific proposal to Paul to move forward. I assume he is evaluating options and will be getting back to me with a response.

In the meantime, I like Ruth's suggestion of self managed moving of older images. I also would recommend that folks limit entrees into the 'contest page' to two per week.

Not a bad idea, Ruth. I've cleared up all but my most recent.

Interestingly, this isn't the only site undergoing this kind of issue. Right now, SOAPhoto's looking precariously close to going belly-up due to lack of management oversight.

Hopefully Paul will get back to you soon, Buddy.

I've been removing mine. There are quite a few new people these last weeks, I doubt most of them can be bothered. The site seems to still be getting quite a bit of traffic, so that's good for Paul's business here.

Maybe you'll be webmaster one day, Buddy. Although you have always seemed to me to be a busy man.

Great idea to move the photos. I moved mine. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon. Buddy, I am sure you will keep us in the loop as things happen.

I haven't been around much lately and I must apologize. Too much travel this early part of the year. Plus I have to admit I got a new toy for Christmas that has been occupying my time. No, not a new camera but a new guitar (that makes seven now). Another love (besides my wife). Of course I would not have her if it weren't for guitars. Yes they get chicks. I don't mean that in a sexist way ladies.

I guess I will just have to make time for all my loves. Remember, I do live in Utah, I am allowed. A big LOL to that.
