Voting
I have noticed that it is possible to vote for your own photo if it gets into the final selection. Personally I wouldn't do so but maybe some people would - so is there a way of preventing this happening?

Goldie, If one is honest in assessing a shot then I see no reason not to vote for yourself if you truly believe yours is the best image. I've voted against myself in the past as well as voted for my image so I suppose it's a matter of whether you believe you are offering up an honest appraisal. The mods make sure that the deciding vote isn't cast by the owner of the image.

It somehow doesn't feel right. I have never voted for my own photo as I always see the flaws in it and am suprised that others like some of my work.

I recall Ruth (admin) posting a note asking folks not to vote for themselves. I actually did by accident in the first contest of the year and sent a note to Ruth to move my vote to someone else.
for what it is worth, with the earlier software, the Admin can actually see who voted for what (I learned this when I was looking at buying the site), so in theory, the Admin can police this or other voting abuses.Buddy
