Proper use of the comment field?
Hi Paul,
I think I may just have made a mistake in the usage of the comment field. What I've done for my POTW submission is to use the comment field to thank each & every person who's commented on my pic. I understand that the winning photo is judged based on overall ratings & comments, so is this gonna mess up the judging process?
Thanks!Rgds,
David Chin

It will be fine we will take into account how many of the posts to each photo are ... self posts to thank members ....

I also noticed that when I look at some of my photos it actually counts me as a visitor in the number of views. Could this be used to "BUILD" your view number??

Notice the same issue... PhotoID
PhotoID, I've noticed the same issue. Paul, is there anyway to not include our views on our own galleries?

The total view count is relatively unimportant and but it could actually be a benefit in detecting anomalies

I
Ύd prefer not to say how
And as for the comments when reviewing the final votes it Ύs relatively straight forward to subtract the persons own replies ¦
The problem with stopping poster a from commenting on there own photos is that they could not answer questions that are very often asked about photos in the comments area ¦.Best Regards,
Steve

EXIF data
I'm new here, so I'm just learning my way around. As others have mentioned, I think EXif data is critical in POTW images. I ended up posting EXif in the description field -- a bit tedious, when the data is already attached to the image. BTW, very nice programing and intuitive design on this site.

I agree and as we continue to make upgrades it will become available .. I cannot however at this point promise a time framea bit tedious, when the data is already attached to the imageBest Regards,
