    Talking Happy New owner!

Hey everyone I'm new to this site and new to real digital photgraphy. I started out about 3 years ago with a Sony P8 little point and shoot and finally last week I decided to join the realm of real digital photography and purchased the Pentax Ist DL and love it! This camera is so amazing and it just always seems to take a better picture than I thought I was capable of.

If anyone has any good pointers please elt me know I would greatly appreciate it and hopefully I'll get some of my pictures uploaded. I do have a site with some old photography that hasn't been updated in a while, but it shows some of my work and a lot of my photo editing skills.

    Here's the link photobucket.com/albums/y194/codiac2600/

Thank you and hopefully I'll be a regular here with some updated pics and information.

    Hi codiac 2600:
Like you I'm new to this forum and I also own a Pentax DSLR
the*istDL2.It took me a long time to decide on the Pentax
given the fact that it's not as well known mostly due to poor marketing.Let me just say that I love this camera based on image quality , easy to use,and price .My pointer to you is take lot's of photos and while making mistakes from time to time enjoy the process .

My advice is to just to go out and shoot till yournhearts content and you learn as you go. It is more fun that way. This is my opinion.
