    My First *istDS

The first week with my new Pentax *ist DS and nothing is sacred. If it was visible I photographed it! I should have done this sooner....

I am quite sure that none of my pictures will ever end up on a wall or on a web page. I really don’‚’‚…‚’‚…Ύ‚t care about that. I enjoy for my own selfish evil reasons.

I bought a SLR over 10 years ago, a Pentax PZ, and no giggles please. I had fun taking pictures then throwing them away, well almost all of them. After spending what I would estimate the equivalent of many *ist and a few Nikons in film costs I gave up.

Even after a few hundred pictures and a week I catch myself thinking...better not click it costs money...Ha! 300 Pictures on one little card...click click ......

I spent hours reading and reviewing the specs. Olympus, Nikon, Cannon and Pentax. Pentax won based on compatibility with my existing lens ( I still speak with my first Pentax) and the fact that the local dealer actually had one for me to play with (aka love at first click). There are other reasons but I can't remember them for some reason....

If you are thinking of buying a Pentax *ist DS then go and find one and play with it for a few hours. Most half decent camera shops have a camera geek (at least every shop within 250 miles of here did) who would love to demo every detail and show you his/her amazing skills. Truthfully, without the help of the camera geek, I would have gone home lost and discouraged.

    Cheers

    Why giggles?

My PZ-1 more than paid for itself by producing sellable images. I still have a demand for many of these images. And lots of them appear on postcards still for sale here in Summit County, Colorado.

And I'll never part with my LX...
