We're replacing my wife's 5 year old 2.1mo Sony Cybershot this Christmas. We really love the Panasonic DCM-LZ2, and I'd buy it in a heartbeat, except for one thing. It doesn't have a viewfinder.

We do a lot of outdoor photography, and have found the viewfinder to be necessary on very bright days. Is there something about the screen that makes it more viewable on in very bright conditions? Why wouldn't they have a viewfinder on this camera?

Thanks for any help!

John
