Fishy camera
Looking for a good digital camera to take with me when I go fishing, one that will do the job in all light and weather and not going to cost a new carbon fibre rod,

With being a fisherman/photographer myself, I have been down this road many times. And to be honest, its really no easy answer to which camera is the best.
It mostly depends on what type of fishing you will be doing. If you wadeing streams or floating in canoes/kayaks you will probably find a smaller, easy to use camera to fit your needs.
Where as if your into bank fishing or bass boat style, then really any camera will probably fit your needs since conditions may not be as extream.
I have found when using a camera for fishing, its nice to have a fairly fast starting on over all camera. Its also nice to have a camera that has good accurate auto settings that actually work in most conditons.
WATER is going to be your biggest problem. With that in mind I would think about a water resistant camera such as the Olympus clam shell designs. Most of those have been built to be used in rain or moist conditions such as fishing and the auto settings are nice.
Like I stated above its going to depend more on what type of fishing you do more than anything. Post a little more info and maybe we can help out some more. But for now I would probably recommend one of the clam shell Olympus cameras such as the Stylus 410 or like cameras.

All weather camera
I think you should take a look at the Olympus Stylus cameras. They ΄re weatherproof and you can even get them out in the rain. The Stylus 400 is a 4 mgpixels with great image quality.Yod

Trout fishing
Trout fishing love it fly or float, but also like to draw and paint (watercolours) that is why I am getting into cameras, nothing worse than missing out on a good drowning or rainbow cos I can Ύt take a good pic and some of the landscapes and waterscapes iv missed out on cos I have messed up with the camera, the one have been using is my dads for holidays an Olympus SLR OM1N
