My camera won't delete downloaded pictures upon command and I have to remove them one-by-one on the camera itself. It began just holding one photo but the last week or so holds most of them. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

Isnt there a function on the camera to format the card directly in the camera?

How do you download the pictures? do you plug the camera with a cord directly to your computer?

or do you take the card out, place it in a card reader and download the pictures to your computer that way?

We use a cable to connect the camera into the iMac and the pictures are downloaded into iPhoto. On the screen is a box which ordinarily allows me to choose to delete the pictures in the camera after they download but the last two weeks only some of them have been deleted while the others remain. I am assuming this is a camera problem rather than in the computer but perhaps I am wrong. We have had this particular setup for about a year without difficulties.

    Wink

We had never considered that the card might be the problem but my husband removed it from the camera and cleaned the contacts. Now it seems to be working just fine. Thanks for the input.
