I have a SP 550 uz

I have focus problems.

In varous settings it focuses but the problem is when it is in full zoom (18x) and I try using it.

I called the olympus people and they ran me through a reset (open the card door and reset the camera. It then works quite well and they said it must have been on some setting preventing it from focusing but it reverts again to not focusing in full zoom.

I go through the reset again and it works again but then reverts after a while.

I have set it in P mode to spot focus. That seems to cause the problem. I can then set it to manual focus and get it to work but this seems to me not the correct way to handle the problem.

Can anyone tell me what's going on ?
