    C750- how long settings retained?

When your batteries become exhausted or you need to change xd card, how long should your settings such as- date/time, all reset, ISO rating- be retained?

Mu camera seems annoyingly to lose them pretty well immediately and I am wondering, if my camera has become faulty. If you suspect a fault, do you think it will be costly to repair and economically worthwhile? BTW I live in UK.

    Thanks

PS I should repeat that "All Reset" is set to "Off".
