hi all first post on the board looks like lots of good info here.
first off i would like to know if any of you have seen the info dvd on ebay for the e500?
is it worth it i reeealy want to lern as much as i can about this cammera and how to use it.
and also on ebay they have real cheep batteries for my cammera. should i stick to a brand name batt or does it matter.forgive me for i know not what the hell im doing!

Hi Bob. Re dvd, I would say you'd be better off looking at comparisons between the one you're looking at and some others that are similar. If you know that thats the one you want then you'll learn heaps from forums but mostly from getting out there and taking photos. As for batteries, I'm looking at getting a second one for my canon (that I havent even got yet) so I'd be interested to here thoughts about that. Though looking at these things on e bay, none of them are very expensive so it wouldnt hurt the hip pocket to get an original.
