3rd party battery e-500 blm-1
I'm thinking about buying some 3rd party batterys for my new E-500. What I'm wondering is if they can damage my camera and if they are any good. I've seen them on ebay from around $8 to $25.
And another thing will it void my warrenty?

Hi,
Yes they can damage your camera.
Here's some information about clone batteries
http://t5r.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/e1/clonetests.htm
I have a clone for my E-300 from aboutbatteries.com which seems to be OK, although I tend not to leave it in the camera for long lengths of time.
Hope this helps.Kind Regards.
