Olympus Not working period

OK, here is the deal... I have an olympus stylus 300. Just the other day, i charged it and when i went to use it, it did not work. I turned it on by pushing open the lense cover. It did nothing accept beep and the 2 lights next to the optical view finder blinked. I took the bat. our for a while, let it sit, and when i put it back in, it did nothing, not even the beeping and blinking.... ANY ideas on what could be going on?! Any help would be nice! Thanks

I have the same camera - and almost exactly the same problem. It was working fine one day, next day not.

I've done the battery thing - it's apparenty not the battery.

Actuall, I have it a good "whack" with my hand and got it to turn on once, but don't think that's really very good for it in the long run.

This camera is only about a year old - and I use it OFTEN.

I hope someone has an answer other than returning it to Olympus.

ok... i got an email back from Olympus... it was not helpful at all... they told me i need to send it in for repair... no way?! as if i could not have figured that one out myself.... oh well... maybe someone has the answerr?! good luck to you!
