My C-3000 Zoom was given to me in May of 2001 as a gift. I have not had a problem with the camera until a few weeks ago, when I started receiving low battery warnings (even with brand new batteries in the camera). After a few days of trying every set of batteries I could get my hands on, the camera just stopped working (there wasn't even enough battery power left to retract the zoom lens, which was fully extended). No matter what I do with the Power/Mode Dial, the camera does not respond, and I do not even receive any warnings or indicators.

I purchased a SanDisk 128mb SmartMedia card for the camera about a year ago, but have not had any problems with it.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, is there a solution? Thanks!
