My Olympus (C-3000 Zoom) camera problem.

Hello all,

I am experiencing a problem with my camera, and don't know what it could be attributed to. I take a shot, and the red lamp - on the camera's rear, by the card slot door - illuminates and enters a flickering stage for close to three minutes. At the same time, the LCD info screen shows the flashing icon of a pencil drawing a line on a piece of paper. At the end of this time period, the red lamp extinguishes and the LCD screen goes blank. I then turn the powermode dial from the "P" position to "OFF", and the camera then emits 16 beeps. The battery indicator (upon restarting the camera) shows a full charge.

Everything was fine, when I used the camera the other day. The batteries had been taken out and recharged, earlier tonight, and this problem surfaced after reinstalling them.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Well, I did get this problem squared away. What I had to do was to format my card. Prior to doing this I grabbed all of the photos from the camera via my 'FileScavenger' data retrieval program (whew, so glad that I bought that nifty program).
