E-1 Lens
I just bought an E-1 and have the standard 18-50 lens. I ordered it and have not gotten it yet, but am looking to know if I am going to need another lens right away. I am new to SLR and dont know what to expect. I am going to do mostly portrates. I dont really want to spend the $900 on the 50-200. Are there any inhancers that would give me what I need??? Or is the 18-50 probably good enough??

Hi,
Normally a focal length between 80-110mm is used for portraits.
The lens you have should be fine as 18-50mm (4/3 system) equals 36-100mm in the 35mm camera lenses.
BTW Have you heard of the OM adapter which allows adding older OM system lenses to the E1. You need to contact your local Olympus dealer for that as it's not readily available on the market.
Hope this helpsKind Regards.
