DSLR Shutter Life
Hi,
Does anyone know how to know the current number of shutter cycles done on my Nikon D40?
I'm not sure, but I think the average Shutter cycle life is about 105,000 cycles.
Thanks.

I do not know how to tell on the D40...But according to the Nikon rep. the life of a plastic shutter (D80 and under) is 80,000 and the life of a metal shutter (D200 and up) is 250,000....But with technology being what it is...I am not really concerned....I will have two different cameras before I every reach the life expectancy.....lol
Cheers, Joe
