    I had the 55-200 for a few weeks, It was a kit lense that came with the D80 that I had...It was not a bad lens But I traded the 18-55 and the 55-200 for the 17-55 f2.8 and the 70-200 vr f2.8, and there is a HUGE difference in quickness and sharpness... The down side is the two lense set me back $3500.00
    I have always believed that you should buy the best glass you can...

    BTW the VR really works well
