    Question Nikon D40 Lenses

    Hello,
I'm quite new to the SLR photography, i just bought my first Nikon D40 less than two weeks ago.

    I received with it a Nikkor 18-55mm AF-S 1:3.5-5.6 GII ED.

I'm very happy with my camera, and the results i get with it. However there're two things i need professional help with.

1- I want to buy a lens with more wide angle and zoom in capabilities. I'm not very much concerned about the F-Stop because over here it's always sunny and rarely when there're poor light problems.
I was thinking the SMC Pentax DA 50mm-200mm F4-F5.6 ED lens but i need a suggestion on that one, also keep in mind that the D40 only supports auto focus through its processor, u can't have Auto-Focus unless the lens has its internal built-in motor and support for AutoFocus.

2- I was wondering about cheap underwater kit, any suggestions?

Please if anyone could suggest something, i'd be most greatful

    Myxa

    Hi Myxa,
Here's a link to a website full of information re: Nikkor Lenses. For non professional use, any lens rated a 4 would do you well.
You can also try 3rd party lenses, and I'm sure there are folks here that can help you with those.
I HIGHLY recommend buying used lenses from
keh.com They are very highly respected, and always rate towards the consumer.... meaning they are of higher quality than a similar rating from another shop such as B&H. B&H is great for new gear, but falls short of keh.com for used.
    Check out Bjorn's reviews here:

    Hope this sheds some light!
